Benefiting from EU research projects - Successful participation and Commercialisation of results -

Type of Event:Seminar
Start:2010-01-29
End:2010-01-29
Organiser:ECOINNO2SME, co-organiser: USEandDIFFUSE, PRESTO
Description:

Three innovative EU funded projects will bring together a selective audience of key EU officials, stakeholders and businesses in the field of eco-innovation and construction at a workshop in Brussels at the end of January. The workshop primarily marks the conclusion of a two year project called ECOINNO2SME, which has sought to identify and support SMEs in the environment and eco-innovation arena that have been involved in EU funded Research and Development projects, but have not been fully able to commercialise and exploit the results of the R&D that has been undertaken. Success stories and good practice examples will be presented and organisations will have the opportunity to be 'matched' with each other to support potential future collaborations, technology development and further R&D activities. Officials from the European Parliament, European Commission and it's various Agencies will also be on hand to provide valuable information about funding opportunities for SMEs. Two other projects are providing support to the workshop - USEand DIFFUSE and PRESTO, each of which have similar aims and objectives, but focusing on different sectors (health, ICT and construction).
ECOINNO2SME consists of six partners from Germany, UK, Sweden, Estonia, Hungary and Italy, all highly experienced in the field of eco-innovation funding and technology transfer. For further information about the project or the workshop which will take place on 29th January, please contact ecoinno2sme @ steinbeis-europa.de

More details about the event:
At this event a dedicated EU-programme to overcome the gap to the market (Eco-Innovation call of the CIP-programme), with estimated call for proposals in April 2010 will be presented by the EACI. This initiative is addressed to organisations that have developed an environmental product, service, management practice or process which has a proven track record, yet is not fully marketed due to residual risks.
Please also have a look to the agenda below.

Take this chance and network with other EU-experienced participants to initiate co- operations and to establish links to European stakeholders.
